Questions
No prior experience is required for the 12-week programs. If you are already a certified lash artist, the 8-week track is designed to move faster and build on your existing skills. Both paths lead to the same TDLR Eyelash Extension Specialist License.
Yes. DFW Lash University is a licensed cosmetology school in Texas, approved by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR). Our 320-hour curriculum meets all state requirements for the Eyelash Extension Specialist License. Your hours are fully documented and submitted to TDLR on your behalf.
Both programs cover the full 320 TDLR-required hours — the difference is pace. The 8-week track is designed for students who are already certified lash artists and can move more quickly through certain modules. The 12-week track is designed for true beginners who need more time to build foundational skills. Both programs result in the same Texas Eyelash Extension Specialist License.
We offer weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, and down payment plans for all programs. You can also save $500 by paying in full at enrollment. We also accept Klarna, Afterpay, and PayPal financing. For a customized payment plan, speak with an admissions advisor or text us at 469-672-9860.
The student kit is optional. If you already have a professional lash kit, you may opt out. If you'd like to purchase one, our exclusive Lanna Lashes student kit ($250) includes everything you need for training — lash trays, adhesive, tweezers, eye patches, primer, cleanser, and a practice mannequin head. Retail value is $450.
Our campus is located at 2540 Marsh Lane, Suite 120, Carrollton, TX 75006 — in the DFW Metroplex. Free parking is available. The Flexible program only requires 3 in-person visits; the Hybrid program meets evenings Tue/Wed/Thu; the In-Person program meets days Tue/Wed/Thu from 10am–2pm.
After completing your 320 hours, you'll take the PSI written and practical exams. Once you pass, you apply to TDLR for your Eyelash Extension Specialist License. We walk you through every step — from hour documentation to TDLR application. You also gain access to our alumni community. Most graduates are licensed within 2–4 weeks of completing the program.
Licensing requirements vary by state. DFW Lash University also offers a Connecticut Lash License Program for students who need CT-specific licensure. For other states, we recommend checking that state's cosmetology board requirements. Many graduates have used their training to work across multiple states.
